Welcome

You have come to the home page of Ss Peter and Paul Parish Kiama, which also includes the outstation churches of St. Mathew's Jamberoo and St. Mary Star of the Sea Gerringong.

We are part of the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong, Bishop Peter Ingham is the Bishop of Wollongong. We have a variety of different ministries within our parish, these are named within our parish group directory with their appropriate contact person.

We are always looking for new members for our parish. We have the Catholics Returning Home Programme to assist those who want help in coming home. We also have the Rites for Christian Initiation for Adults for non Catholics, Christian background or not who would like to find out more and possibly join us.

All are welcome.

Mission Statement
(formed by Parish Pastoral Council 2005)

We, the people of Kiama, inspired by Jesus Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit, form a welcoming and caring communinity that will work together to proclaim the message of the Gospel and, in doing so, encourage the community to grow in faith, love, justice and peace.

A big thank you to all parishioners who individually, in small groups and collectively, enable us all to be Church in this place at this time.

Gerringong Memorial Garden

St Mary Star of the Sea Church, Gerringong is the site of our Memorial Garden for the interment of ashes. A space in this garden, suitable for the ashes of one person, may be purchased for $1,100 (inc GST, cost of plaque extra).


Spaces on our Memorial Wall (for plaques only) are also available at a cost of $500 (inc GST, cost of plaque extra).

Adoration -

Kiama: Tuesdays, after 5.00pm Mass, includes Benediction; Thursdays, 8.30am to 10.00am; first Saturday of the month, 8.00am to 9.00am; 

Gerringong: Wednesdays, 3.00pm to 4.00pm, includes Cenacle.
