Reconciliation

The sacrament of Reconciliation, also known as Confession or Penance, is celebrated at Ss Peter & Paul Church;

Weekly: Saturday, 8.30am - 9.00am
Monthly: First Saturday, 5.00pm - 5.30pm

Additionally, the communal celebration of the sacrament (2nd Rite) may occasionally be celebrated before Easter and Christmas.

 

First Reconciliation/First Holy Communion 2017

Candidates for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in our Diocese must be in year 3 or above and be a baptised Catholic or have been received into the Catholic Church.

This year we will be trialling a new program format, with First Reconciliation running over 3 weeks before the September holidays, and First Holy Communion running over 5 weeks after the September holidays. All lessons will be held on a Sunday evening or Monday afternoon.

If you would like your child to make their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in 2017 please attend one of the Parent Information Evenings. It is very important that you attend one of these meetings to get detailed information about the Sacramental program and to enrol your child.

* Parent Information Evenings – Sunday, 20 August at 6.00pm OR Monday, 21 August at 7.00pm. Location: Ss Peter & Paul Parish Hall, Kiama.

* Commitment Ceremonies - At all Parish Masses on the weekend of 26 & 27 August.

* Lessons - commence Sunday, 3 September

* First Reconciliation - 13/14/16 September

* First Holy Communion - 11/12 November.
